Who is Team GSP Inferno?

GSP Inferno actually consists of two teams, one 5-Man NEPL Novice team, and one 3-Man MPL Rookie team. Currently we have 12 members on the roster between the two. There are 7 dedicated NEPL players and 5 dedicated MPL players. During the course of the season, we will be rotating our MPL players into NEPL events to help give them the experience needed. This can be a difficult challenge, as changing the roster presents new problems, such as the effect the change has on the chemistry of the players on the field.

Part of the practice regimen this year will be dedicated to overcoming that challenge and building the trust and bond between all players on the roster. In the end, it should present no challenge to swap out players at will and still have the chemistry between every player on the field. Not an easy task, but one certainly worthy of pursuing if we are to end up with a well rounded team, which is the ultimate goal.

A little about Team GSP Inferno.....

Every member on the roster was hand-picked as much for their attitudes toward the sport, other players, and themselves as much as their ability to play paintball. There was no actual try-out of any kind. Each player’s base character was assessed in order to determine if they possessed the proper mindset for the team philosophy. So, what exactly is Team GSP Inferno's philosophy? Funny you should ask!

Team Philosophy

Each member of the team is considered a valued resource. Those who know more can teach, those who know less can learn. By teaching a lesser-experience player, a more advanced player reinforces that very same knowledge within himself or herself. Our players are constantly looking for ways to improve the overall skills of the entire team. By doing so, they also improve their own skills and strengthen not only overall ability, but also the bonds of teamwork and fellowship that are the hallmark of any successful team.

The GSP Inferno Vision and Mission Statement

Team GSP Inferno is a team whose purpose is to help promote the sport of

paintball in the New England area by:

Striving for unequivocal excellence in all aspects of the sport of paintball.

Taking personal responsibility for themselves.

Utilizing experience-based innovation.

Playing with honesty, integrity, and overall good sportsmanship.

Exercising extreme attention to consistency and detail.

Mentoring less-experienced teams to help them find their own level of excellence.

And above all....

Demonstrating respect for themselves, the team, other players, field personnel, and the sport as a whole.

We hope that by performing the above, we are setting the example for others to follow. By being mentors, we are doing our part to ensure that the sport will grow and be viewed positively by not only those within the sport, but also those outside of it.
